What we Believe

We believe in a triune God:  God the Father,  Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.  We believe the Bible to be the divinely inspired, infallible Word of God.  We believe Jesus Christ is the one and only Son of God who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified for the sins of the world, was dead and burred, and resurrected on the third day.  We believe that by confession of sins and profession of faith in Jesus Christ as our Savior, our sins are forgiven and we will have eternal life in Heaven.  We believe at the point of salvation the Holy Spirit is deposited in us and we rely on Him to guide our lives and help us grow in our personal relationship with Jesus.  We celebrate Believer's Baptism by immersion.  We believe baptism is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer's faith in Jesus, death to their old life, and resurrection into a new life in Christ.

What should I expect when I arrive?

We have parking available at both of our sanctuary level entrances on the east and west side of the building.  The east door is our Main Entrance and where our greeters are waiting to meet you.  Behind the sanctuary you will find two areas of interest.  One is marked INFO and this is where you will find more information about Church at Smith Valley.  The second is our CONNECT wall.  This is where you can see our church calendar as well as opportunities to CONNECT to others and the community thru service and fellowship activities.

What I Can Expect in CaSV Worship Service

Our Praise Band will begin our time of Worship at 10:00am.  During our worship service we will raise our voices in song, share in corporate prayer, hear a Biblical message, and finish with a time of response.  As for the music at CaSV, we offer a blended worship experience.  Meaning, we sing both praise & worship songs as well as traditional hymns.  We worship thru Holy Communion on the first Sunday of each month.  If you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal savior, you are invited to receive communion from a sealed set of elements.
